In 2019, Indian author Ruchi Acharya dreamed of a literary community that could bridge the gap between the fellow, emerging writers with a fervent passion to create and the world of traditional publishing. She envisioned a place where writers and artists are allowed to publish based solely on the merit of their creative skills. Her desire and inspired vision culminated in the design of Wingless Dreamer Publisher, a forum providing aspiring and experienced creators alike the opportunity to share their love of English literature and art on a global platform.
Throughout the year, our Wingless Dreamer team offers a multitude of themed writing contests designed to stimulate fresh ideas and present an opportunity for talented authors worldwide to contribute perspectives through creative expression efforts. Then, we stream together with the components of writing, editing, and illustrating to result in publications of beautiful poetry anthologies that we promote in the marketplace. Our commitment to providing this single platform and process allows our authors and artists to bypass challenges and obstacles associated with the traditional publishing goal, and instead maintain their focus and devotion to creating works of art.
Most meaningful is that Wingless Dreamer community members become part of a family, and are guided, encouraged, and supported as they take each step toward cultivating a successful writing or art career. Non-native English-speaking authors are also granted access to free reviews, critiques, marketing, and, in some cases, funding for their work. Our community has slowly, but steadily, grown to become a prominent stage featuring well-known professional writers and artists from all over the world.
Finally, we at Wingless Dreamer are devoted to publishing poetry, fiction, and artwork reflecting the entirety of multiple perspectives and varied experiences extracted from the deep well of soulful human existence. As such, BIPOC, LGBTQ, disabled, minority, and other marginalized voices are especially invited to join in the sharing. Our ultimate goal is to uplift the human spirit through a diverse creative community. At its core, the human spirit desires connections through expressions. We ardently endeavor to gift wings to these heartfelt dreams.

Dreams offer a glimpse into the unconscious mind, revealing thoughts, desires, and fears that may not be apparent in waking life. Analyzing dreams can provide valuable self-insight. Find what your dream signifies, write a poem of max 40 lines or a short story of max 1500 words and get a chance to get featured in our anthology called Dreamers with Quill.

Summer Fireflies
The clouds have lifted, the flowers have bloomed, and it is finally Summertime! Somehow even in the darkest of times, Summer brings joy: beach days, long nights, and fireflies. This Summer Fireflies challenge sounds simple, but see if you agree: write a happy poem.
This can be a poem of any length, form, or content as long as it can be described as joyful. It can be true or fanciful, long or short, vague or specific. Happiness exists in a variety of appearances and forms, and thus so can your poem. Emotions tend to beg to be captured on the page during our most angry and sad times, but this also indicates how important it is to bring out joy. Take out your firefly-catching jars, and capture your brightest moments of laughter, hope, love, and of course, happiness. Don’t forget to read our judging criteria and Terms and Conditions before making the submission.

For this March of 2024 we want you to imagine a short story below:
Imagine yourself walking on the street all alone wrapped in an autumn-coloured scarf, mittens and sweater. Crushing the dried Maple leaves under your boots, you smell the aromatic pumpkin spices in your neighbourhood. Suddenly, you see eerie darkness engulfing the prettiest pink sunset and you run for your life towards your house. You can hear some entity is following you but you’re too afraid to look back. You reached your home and latched the door behind seeking safety from an unknown fear. Something is not right. You peeked out from the window and you can see the dark alleys are as silent as a crypt by indistinct diabolical murmurs and spine-chilling whispers. You turned around to hide in an enclosed space but suddenly the lights are out. The unwelcoming thunder and lightning in the night sky reveal the skin-crawling sight of yourself reading Wingless Dreamer anthology, Halloween in me. Shivers run down your spine. You collapsed.
Well, how does this story sound to you? This season Wingless Dreamer Publisher is summoning spirits, the dead, and the undead. We are talking ghosts, witches, vampires, talking scarecrows, zombies and other ghastly creatures. It’s your time to haunt editors with your impending poems and short stories. Unleash your creativity. Take your pick and possess the best of poets and writers, and make them write your most teeth-chattering hauntings.
We want you to hold onto your dead hearts. However, there is a limit. *thunder rumbling*. The horrendous poems should not exceed 40 lines and the blood-curdling short stories should not exceed 500 words. We are eagerly dreading your submissions to haunt us day and night. What are you waiting for? Submit today.
